- There's the iconic Beaumaris Yacht Club, which has its roots in the early 1900s.
- Gravenhurst has the Muskoka Wharf, the home port of the RMS Segwun steamship. The Muskoka Steamship and Discovery Centre – Learn about Muskoka's long-standing steamship and wooden boat history. The Murray Walker Grace & Speed boathouse displays North America’s largest in-water collection of beautiful wooden boats.
- Port Carling - The village of Port Carling located in the northwest area of Lake Muskoka where the locks connect Lake Muskoka to Lake Rosseau and Lake Joe. Incorporated as a village in June 1896, Port Carling is known as the "Hub of the Lakes". During peak season enjoy shopping at a range of unique small boutiques and gift stores. Visit Muskoka Living Interiors, Liz at the Lake and Peaks & Rafters for the latest in furniture, art and interior design trends. Art galleries like Red Canoe Gallery will entice you to add to your collection.
- In Bala - Drop by the KEE for a late evening concert, some of the best acts have played here.
Muskoka Food Scene - It Keeps Growing!
- In Port Carling during the peak season - Step out on the patio for lunch or dinner at Portside Fusion or Turtle Jack's and, there's a sports bar inside. Try Tulo's Taqueria for a casual lunch or a late dinner overlooking the water at the locks. They have an amazing patio! Visit Stephen's Butcher Shop - a Muskoka tradition - for the finest and freshest fish, quality meats, and a selection of cheese and local produce. This family-run shop offers fantastic personal service. Don't forget they sell Piano Piano pasta and pizzas too. Check out the Field of Greens for your epicurean needs plus they offer a great selection of fresh-cut flowers. The LCBO is at the Locks on Indian River and has the best wine selection in Muskoka. At the Locks (Rosseau Side) Knead Pizza is perfect for grabbing a snack for your boat ride back to the cottage!
- Bass Lake Roadhouse is open all year. Burgers, wings, and onion rings plus more. On Highway 169 just outside of Port Carling.
- Bala - Lakeside restaurant has a beautiful patio for dining overlooking Lake Muskoka. Ice Dreams Soda Shop in the centre of Bala is a vintage ice cream parlour serving up ice cream, bagels, grilled cheese sandwiches, coffee & espresso and doggie treats, amid vintage coca cola memorabilia. Bala Bay Takeaway is a handy spot to grab an order of poutine, fish and chips, BBQ chicken and pizza. An LCBO, grocery store and farmer's market are all in Bala, plus Don's Bakery, a Muskoka tradition since 1947. Pusateri's delivers to Bala in the summer months with a curbside pickup across from Don's bakery. Check out Mrs. H´s Fish and Chips, a charming eatery at the Wahta Station for the freshest halibut, burgers and more.
- Torrance - Stop at the patio of Clear Lake Brewing Company and shop for fresh produce and gourmet foods at the Torrance General – directly across from Clear Lake Brewery and The Muskoka Beer Spa. The Torrance General is the latest offering from the Field of Greens team.
- On your way to Bracebridge? Don't forget to stop at McMasters Fine Foods for a selection of house-made prepared dishes, carefully sourced meat and seafood, and fresh local produce, including Grenville Farm’s organic greens. Plus a supply of freshly baked goods and savory delights like Butcher’s Tourtiere!
